Sample

9:00 – 9:45 Learning Centers

Your child will learn by being involved in a variety of centers. The centers will consist of play (kitchen, blocks, and books), craft, manipulatives, painting easel, sensory table and theme and alphabet related activities.

9:45 – 9:55 Clean Up

The children will be encouraged to work together as they clean up in the learning centers.

9:55 – 10:20 Circle Time

During this time, we will discuss the weekly theme, count activities and alphabet letter. Finger plays and songs will be introduced to reinforce the theme. Most classes will learn about the days, months and seasons as they do the calendar and weather. Stories will also be read during this time.

10:20 – 10:35 Snack

This will be a snack provided by parents on a rotating basis. We encourage parents to choose healthy snacks for the children and be aware of any allergies the students may have. The teacher will inform all parents at the beginning of the year of those allergies.

10:40 – 11:00 Library, Playground or Gym

In the library the children will hear a story and then be allowed to take out 2 books. If the child has not returned their books they will need to wait until the next week to get new books.

Playground and gym is to help develop gross motor skills.

11:00 – 11:20 Bible Story

We try to make these theme related as much as we can or do the stories chronologically.

11:20 – 11:30 Group Activity

This activity will be related to the theme or letter of the week.

11:30 Dismissal

Other features in the program:

Show-N-Tell – This is a time for the children to practice standing in front of their peers and speaking.

Field trips – both in-house and off campus.

Times will vary depending on when each class is scheduled to use shared facilities.
