This will be my fourth year working at Calvary Preschool. The first two years I was a teacher’s aide, than a co-teacher, and now lead teacher in the classroom. As to my education, I graduated from Practical Bible Training School (now Davis College) with a certificate in Christian Education in 1975. I recently graduated from Lancaster Bible College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have found working with preschool children both a challenge and very rewarding. After graduating from Practical Bible Training School, I became a home missionary with Teen Haven for 4 years. I worked in Philadelphia and then in Lancaster, where I met my husband Jeffery. Although my husband, Jeffrey, and I have no children of our own, we both have poured our lives into other children’s lives. Before coming to Calvary Church, Jeffery and I worked with the AWANA organization for 25 years as leaders both locally and at Scholarship Camp, and were members of the Ministry Board here in Lancaster for 15 years. Since coming to Calvary, I have worked as a Sunday school teacher, Discovery Club teacher, and in the preschool. I enjoy studying, taking Precept classes, and trying new and different ideas. I like to laugh a lot and have a lot of fun, we learn best when we enjoy what we are learning. I look forward to this year with great expectations and much excitement. I hope this will be a very enjoyable and fun filled year for all involved. |
